The Aboriginal Centre of Winnipeg Inc. (ACWI) is a gathering place for people and a centre to foster new ideas in education, economic development, social service delivery and training.

Down Under Club of Winnipeg
The Down Under Club has been active in Manitoba for more than 50 years. We have approximately 190 members who are originally from Australia and New Zealand, as well as Canadians who have some connection to or a deep love of the lands down under.
In the last few years, our Jewish community has been enriched by the arrival of hundreds of newcomers from Eastern Europe and South America.

Francophones have been present in Manitoba since the 18th century, when French-Canadian fur traders (voyageurs and coureurs du bois) following the route mapped by La Vérendrye in the 1730s first came to the Canadian West. Having tasted life as "free men", many of these traders elected to remain in the West with their Aboriginal wives, thereby giving birth to a new people, the Western Canadian Métis.

The Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council Inc. is a voluntary association of faith communities and individual Manitobans that, through personal expressions of faith commitment, exists to welcome and extend hospitality to all refugees/immigrants and to serve them as brothers and sisters.
