The Community Safety and Crime Prevention Council (CS&CPC) is a multi-disciplinary group of people who, working together within the community, actively engage in community safety solutions by involving the whole community in crime prevention.
The Royal Canadian Legion As the Legion moves into the 21st century, its members have rededicated themselves to ensure the care of Canada's veterans and the perpetuation of remembrance. The implementation of the "Two Minute Wave of Silence" in 1999, and the establishment of "The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier" in 2000, are just two examples of how the Legion is preparing Canadians to never forget the lessons and sacrifices of the past.
The Vanier Institute of the Family To create awareness of, and to provide leadership on, the importance and strengths of families in Canada and the challenges they face in their structural, demographic, economic, cultural and social diversity.
Trans Canada Trail The Trans Canada Trail was created in 1992 and publicly launched in the summer of 1994. It was conceived by the Canada 125 management as a legacy project. Canada 125 was an organization created to celebrate Canada’s 125th year of confederation in 1992. Individual Canadians are invited to help build the Trail by “symbolically” purchasing metres. A donation of $50.00 builds a metre of Trail and the donor’s name (or the name of anyone they designate) is permanently inscribed in a Trail Pavilion along the route of the Trail.
